Biography

Manon Boenec is a graduate of the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and the University of Paris XI Paris-Sud, where she earned a Master II in Environmental Law and a diploma from the Institute of Public Business Law (IDPA). Manon also spent a year studying international law and Quebec environmental law at the University of Quebec in Montreal.

She joined VOLTA in 2021 after gaining experience at the Cergy-Pontoise Administrative Court, working with several law firms specializing in environmental law, and completing a mission at the French Office for Biodiversity (OFB).

Manon works daily on wind, solar, and biomass projects, focusing on environmental, urban planning, and energy law. She handles litigation by preparing briefs and participating in hearings. She also provides counsel at every stage of project development and operation. She has developed specific expertise in derogations from the prohibition on the destruction of protected species (DEP), a key issue for wind energy project developers.
